This Event Cancellation, Rescheduling, Refunds, and Limitation of Liability Policy (“Policy”) forms part of the Terms and Conditions governing purchases made through Star Event Tix (“Star Event Tix,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing a ticket through our website, the purchaser (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to review this Policy before completing the transaction.
1. FINALITY OF PURCHASES; NO REFUNDS FOR PERSONAL REASONS
Except as expressly provided in this Policy or as otherwise required by applicable law, all ticket sales are final, and all purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Customers are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming all event information before completing a purchase, including the event date, time, venue, ticket type, admission requirements, age restrictions, and any other conditions disclosed at the time of sale.
No refund, reimbursement, credit, exchange, or other compensation will be provided solely because a Customer:
(a) Changes their mind or no longer wishes to attend;
(b) Becomes unavailable or experiences a scheduling conflict;
(c) Is unable to attend due to personal, professional, family, transportation, accommodation, or other circumstances;
(d) Arrives late, misses the event, leaves early, or elects not to participate;
(e) Purchases the incorrect ticket type or quantity, or fails to review the event details before purchasing; or
(f) Otherwise fails to attend an event that proceeds as scheduled.
A Customer’s failure to attend an event does not, by itself, constitute grounds for a refund. This provision does not apply where a refund or other remedy is required under the cancellation or rescheduling provisions below or by applicable law.
1. OFFICIAL EVENT CANCELLATIONS
If an event is officially canceled and will not take place on the originally scheduled date or as a rescheduled replacement event, eligible Customers will receive a full refund for the affected ticket purchase, subject to applicable law.
The refund will cover the amounts paid for the affected ticket purchase, including applicable taxes and ticket-related fees to the extent required by this Policy or applicable law.
Refunds will be returned to the original payment method whenever reasonably practicable. Where the original payment method cannot accept the refund, the Company may request reasonable information to facilitate an appropriate alternative method, subject to applicable law.
A cancellation will generally be treated as official when confirmed by the event organizer, venue, or other authorized source, or when Star Event Tix otherwise confirms the cancellation through an official communication.
An event that has merely been delayed, temporarily suspended, or postponed pending confirmation of a new date will be handled under the rescheduling provisions below unless it is officially canceled.
1. RESCHEDULED OR POSTPONED EVENTS
An event may be rescheduled, postponed, relocated, or otherwise modified due to circumstances including, but not limited to, venue availability, performer or organizer scheduling, weather conditions, operational issues, public safety concerns, emergencies, governmental restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Where an event is rescheduled, the Company will communicate material changes to Customers through the contact information provided at checkout or another appropriate communication channel, when reasonably practicable.
If the Customer is unable to attend the officially announced replacement date, the Customer may request a refund for the affected ticket purchase. Upon verification of eligibility, the Company will issue a full refund in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
The Customer must submit any required refund request through the official customer support channel identified on http://stareveventtix.com and provide sufficient information to identify and verify the purchase.
A rescheduled event does not automatically create a right to reimbursement for travel, accommodation, meals, lost wages, missed connections, or any other expenses incurred separately from the ticket purchase, except to the extent such reimbursement is required by applicable law or expressly agreed to in writing by the Company.
1. REFUND REQUESTS AND VERIFICATION
To facilitate the timely and accurate processing of a refund, Customers must provide the information reasonably necessary to identify and verify the transaction. This may include:
(a) The order or confirmation number;
(b) The event name and original event date;
(c) The email address associated with the purchase; and
(d) Other reasonable information necessary to investigate the request or prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or unauthorized refunds.
The Company may request additional documentation where reasonably necessary to verify eligibility. Refund requests may be reviewed individually based on the circumstances, the applicable event status, transaction records, the terms disclosed at checkout, and applicable law.
The Company will not unreasonably withhold or delay a refund that is due under this Policy or applicable law because of an unnecessary or duplicative documentation request.
Submission of a refund request does not, by itself, constitute approval. However, where a refund is required by this Policy or applicable law, the Company will process it in accordance with the applicable requirements.
1. REFUND PROCESSING PERIOD — UP TO 14 BUSINESS DAYS
Once a refund becomes eligible for processing and has been approved or otherwise is required to be issued, Star Event Tix will use commercially reasonable efforts to process the refund within up to fourteen (14) business days, subject to any shorter deadline imposed by applicable law.
For purposes of this Policy, “business days” means Monday through Friday, excluding applicable public holidays.
Fourteen (14) business days may amount to approximately three (3) calendar weeks, depending on weekends and public holidays. Customers should therefore allow the full stated processing period before concluding that a refund has not been processed.
The processing period generally begins when the refund is approved or becomes eligible for processing, as applicable. It does not necessarily begin on the date an event change is first announced if the relevant refund eligibility has not yet been established.
Once the Company has initiated the refund, the Customer’s bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional time to post the funds to the account. Such third-party posting times are outside the Company’s direct control. The Company will, upon reasonable request, provide available information concerning the status of a refund it has processed.
Nothing in this section authorizes the Company to exceed a mandatory statutory or contractual refund deadline.
1. NO AUTOMATIC REIMBURSEMENT OF INDIRECT OR INCIDENTAL EXPENSES
Except where expressly agreed to in writing or required by applicable law, the Company’s refund obligations under this Policy are limited to the eligible amounts paid for the affected ticket purchase.
The Company is not responsible for separate or incidental costs incurred by a Customer in connection with an event, including airfare, lodging, transportation, parking, meals, childcare, lost wages, missed business opportunities, or other personal expenditures.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from an event cancellation, postponement, rescheduling, venue change, or other event-related disruption.
This section does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, nor does it limit any refund obligation expressly established elsewhere in this Policy.
1. CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND REASONABLE CONTROL
Events may be canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or materially altered due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Company, an event organizer, or a venue. Such circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, public emergencies, acts of government, venue closures, security threats, labor disruptions, infrastructure failures, or other unforeseen events.
Where such circumstances occur, the Company will communicate material information when reasonably practicable and apply the relevant refund and rescheduling provisions of this Policy, subject to applicable law.
The occurrence of a force majeure event or other circumstance beyond the Company’s control does not automatically eliminate an otherwise applicable refund obligation. Any limitation of liability under this section applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not override an express refund commitment contained in this Policy.
1. DISCRETIONARY EXCEPTIONS AND CASE-BY-CASE REVIEW
Except where a refund or other remedy is required by this Policy or applicable law, any request for an exception to the general no-refund rule may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The Company reserves the right to evaluate discretionary requests based on the specific facts, supporting documentation, applicable event arrangements, and relevant contractual terms.
No discretionary exception shall be construed as a waiver of the Policy or as creating an obligation to grant similar exceptions in other cases. A prior accommodation does not establish a continuing entitlement to a refund, credit, exchange, or other benefit.
The Company will exercise any discretion consistently with applicable law and any express commitments made to Customers.
1. PAYMENT DISPUTES, DUPLICATE CLAIMS, AND FRAUD PREVENTION
Customers are encouraged to contact Star Event Tix through its official support channels to inquire about an outstanding refund before submitting a duplicate request for the same transaction.
The Company may investigate suspected duplicate transactions, unauthorized purchases, fraudulent refund requests, or conflicting claims and may request reasonable documentation to establish the facts.
Nothing in this Policy prohibits a Customer from exercising a lawful right to dispute a charge, contact their payment provider, or seek a remedy available under applicable law. The Company reserves all rights available to it to respond to inaccurate or fraudulent claims and to provide relevant transaction records to payment processors or financial institutions as permitted by law.
1. ROLE OF STAR EVENT TIX
Star Event Tix’s responsibilities in connection with an event depend on the particular transaction and the Company’s role as disclosed at the time of purchase. Where the Company acts as a ticketing platform or authorized agent for an independent event organizer, certain event decisions—including whether an event proceeds, is postponed, is relocated, or is canceled—may be made by that organizer or venue.
The Company does not represent that it controls every aspect of an event operated by an independent third party. Nevertheless, where Star Event Tix accepts a refund obligation under this Policy, applicable law, or an express agreement, the Company will honor that obligation in accordance with its terms.
Nothing in this section releases the Company from its own contractual, statutory, payment-processing, or other legal responsibilities.
1. AMENDMENTS AND INTERPRETATION
The Company may amend this Policy prospectively, subject to applicable law. The version applicable to a particular purchase will be determined by the terms disclosed and applicable to that transaction, together with any mandatory legal requirements.
If any provision of this Policy is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or severed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
This Policy shall be interpreted consistently with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Nothing in it is intended to waive a statutory consumer protection, remedy, or right that cannot lawfully be waived.
1. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By completing a purchase through StarEveventTix.com, the Customer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review the applicable Terms and Conditions and refund policy before purchasing.
The Customer understands that tickets are generally non-refundable for personal reasons, subject to the express cancellation and rescheduling provisions of this Policy and any non-waivable legal rights.
